M2NC102B.EXE
~~~~~~~~~~~~
M2NC102B.EXE should be the file you obtained from your local BBS, if
the file you D/L was not M2NC102B.EXE, you could have a defective copy.
M2NC102B.EXE should contain these files:
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
MSG2NXTC.EXE ─ Main Executable
M2CONFIG.EXE ─ Configuration File
MSG2NXTC.CFG ─ Configuration Info
MSG2NXTC.DOC ─ This Documentation
DOOR .ASC ─ Color / Non-color PreDoor Display
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
How to setup M2NC
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Setting up is pretty easy, the MSG2NXTC.CFG file will contain your
registration name and number if you register, so don't delete it. To
setup MSG2NXTC.CFG run M2CONFIG, it will ask a series of questions,
please answer each thoroughly.
* NOTE *
M2NC must have a FOSSIL communications driver to operate.
If you use FrontDoor, you probably already have one installed,
if not, X00 and BNU work pretty well. You should find one
of these on a local BBS, if not, you can find X00 (and maybe
BNU) on the support BBS, just logon, and text search.
Running M2NC
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Place all the files in their own directory (M2NC will make a color
coded .BBS file, so please specify it's name in full in the M2CONFIG).
Make a BATch file to run MSG2NXTC as a WildCat door, the BATch should
look similar to this:
CD\WC30\DOORS\M2NC
COPY \WC30\WCWORK\NODE1\DOOR.SYS
MSG2NXTC
CD\WC30
Make sure you have a line similar to the second to copy DOOR.SYS
to the directory M2NC is in.
SysOp Commands
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although the SysOp commands are explained in the status bars when
REMOTE users are on, I will explain them anyway. ALT-P will punt (kick,
knock, whatever) the user out of the door. ALT-C will bring an ANSI
user into CHAT-MODE (not really needed, but....), CTRL-A will exit
CHAT-MODE. Also, the user's time limit is kept, though not displayed
unless a user presses a key. If a user drops carrier, M2NC will return
to the BBS. That's about it for SysOp control...
Registration
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Registration is not required, but it would be helpful for future
releases of this program, or others by TOPware. M2NC is not bugged in
any way, and the only thing registration will change is the "Registered
To: UNREGISTERED " statement. If you do register, an amount of $5 would
be appreciated, send all registrations to:
(Please specify which program you are registering - M2NC101B)
Please report all bugs to the M2NC support BBS (if possible).
